First, any good financial advisor will tell you that putting all your eggs in one basket is not a good idea. Take for example, putting all your cash into a stock like Enron and Google. Both investors start with the same amount, one is lucky enough to double his money and the other has gone belly up. Basically, one was a bit luckier then the other, with the underlying theme being that no matter how sound the company is, there is risk inherent in any concentrated investment .
The point here is this… that you have to diversify your holdings, so no one investment can put you in the poor house. Well the same applies for your approach to No Limit Texas Holdem…it's nice to have it in your portfolio but make sure it's not the only bullet in your gun.
Teach yourself to play pot limit holdem and fixed limit Texas Holdem. Maybe you're a better tournament player then cash games player. A good friend of mine, who is an excellent player, predominantly plays NL single table events and Pot limit cash games, this mix works for him.
