Security and Collusion
Let's address this topic in a little more depth. I have seen internet polls that say security is the number one concern for online poker players and rightly so. When I started playing online, many moons ago, it was something that was definitely on my mind.
Like any new endeavor, you have to approach it with a fair amount of skepticism. I am happy to report that I have never experienced any security issues and most sites have very advanced encryption algorithms that make it virtually impossible to hack. Logically speaking, do you think online poker would be flourishing like it is if there were lingering security issues?
Collusion is another concern most online poker players seem to worry about. In fact, when I play in casinos and I get into conversations with players, that only play in casinos, they always seem to be uncomfortable playing online because of security and collusion. I can't help but feel how shortsighted they are, by not availing themselves of the best channel, in my opinion, to play texas holdem. Colluding is much less of a concern online then it is in a live game.
First of all, in multi table holdem tournaments you are constantly being moved around, something you can't control. In fact, sometimes just when your beginning to figure out the guys at your table or fashioning a good image for yourself, your up and moved, making it nearly impossible to collude.

Secondly, in no limit because you can go all-in at any time, you can blow the pot odds out of the water. For example, if there is a lot of pre-flop raising by what seems to be the same players, to knock people out, you can come right over the top. Basically, you can distort the pot, to the point, where you're turning the tables on them, making it hard for them to keep up with you.
Thirdly, statistics are kept on everything that happens at an online poker table and the site monitors things that seem out of the ordinary. For instance, players that play at the same table all the time or are involved in an unusually high number of the same hands together, will not get away with that for long. The only place where I think collusion could be somewhat of a possibility is in a limit game because you can't distort the odds. But because of suspicions other players have and the ability of the site to look into statistical aberrations it makes it very hard to collude.
If you feel like players are colluding just contact the site support and they will address the issue quickly. As a friend of mine and good poker player says, "bring it on, let them try and collude, it's two or three times the payoff every time"...
